813 aka The Beast From The East, dropped a free EP on the Mad Decent sub-label Jeffree's today. It's three tracks that are in that jJrsey club/bass music mixed R&B that all the kids are into these days. It's funny really. So many people make music like this but no one has pointed this out as a movement. If there's a sound that's been dominant for the last year or more it's that one more than anything else. Anyway, I'm not at all trying to detract from what is a good EP from this up and comer. It's bright, it's summery and perfect for a patio party somewhere.
