While we previously spoke about this track, we wanted to bring the conversation back up since A$AP Rocky posted this one on the eve of LONG.LIVE.A$AP's release, after speaking on his friendship with Skrillex recently.

Many see that Skrillex and Birdy Nam Nam are featured on this, and while it's true, it's also a bit skewed. Many might remember the OWSLA release from last year, with Skrillex dropping two remixes of Birdy Nam Nam's "Goin' In," one in a drum & bass style, and another in a more dubstep style. It sounds like Rocky got the approval to license that dubstep remix of "Goin' In" and used it for his debut.

Smart move. With Skrillex already fielding calls from Kanye West and Wale, it sounds like he's farming out his beats for rappers to spit on.

We say all of that not to say it's a bad track. Rocky understands how to flow on a busy dubstep track, even appropriating the "wild for the night" from the original mix as the mantra for his track. We applaud when rappers, or anyone, steps up and collaborates with an EDM artist, but we value knowledge, and want to make sure you androids out there know what time it is.
