Mad Decent's 2014 has been pretty much summed up by releasing tracks that serve to hit your now run-of-the-mill mainstream EDM event upside the head with a slapjack. As if sensing that festival season would allow every other label to usurp their mantle, the LA-based label grabbed French producer Aazar's "Rundat"–a trappy, twerky and lazer-fried Parisian heat-rock–and released it as the label's 81st release from its Jeffrees imprint. The sonic approximation of what heating up a tin of Jiffy Pop popcorn on Nicki Minaj's backside sounds like in Drake's "Anaconda"-style dreams, it's a festival masher that should bring the UZ and DJ Snake-cosigned producer some positive feedback from fellow producers and label executives alike in the near future.
