The next stellar release from the growing onslaught of outstanding material from DIE HIGH Records looks as if it's coming as soon as next week. The first tune from Akouo's Mesa EP, due on June 12, is now streaming and these vibes are pretty freaking incredible. "Not Enough" has a seductive and sexy midtempo progressive R&B groove with a vocal drenched in layered vocal effects that's, ironically, just weird enough. Honestly, this tune sounds like a brilliant combination of sounds. Sure, the current Australian explosion of sounds are there in spirit, but this is stripped down to a level I've yet to hear from this crew. And the push in tempo shows an overall growth and maturity I'm so excited to hear. If the future sounded like this, I'm 100% with it.
