I don't really know where the Bag Raiders have been. The Aussie indie dance outfit last released a track in 2011 and have had a complete radio silence until now. In the meantime, Australian dance music has really gone to the next level and the Bag Raiders sound had seemingly come and gone. The once cheery electro-dance-pop sound has evolved out and now this past week they've unleashed a new one in "Nairobi" to re-establish themselves. The track's title obviously comes from the Kenyan capital and it fits with the track's tribal vibe and wholehearted booty-shakin' ethos. Put simply, this is a monster of a tech house cut mixed with disco and afrobeat vibes in the vain of some of What So Not's Sweat It Out! days and a bit of that Dirtybird sound. It's churning and swerving and sure to be a big hit this summer in festival sets, poolside sets, and any finely tuned workout routine. According to SPIN, the track is part of an EP, and it's meant to hold the group's fans over until they unveil their next full-length album.
