BRUXA – “WitchHunty”

BRUXA are a trio out of Portland that have crafted a dark and mysterious release that dropped today via STYLSS, the tastemakers responsible for the Suicide Pact series.  BRUXA and STYLSS would have preferred that we choose a more energetic piece from this emotional six-track journey, but we pushed and pleaded to highlight “WitchHunty,” the lead record from this dark offering.  It’s nothing short of hypnotizing, as laidback drum work, unhurried synths, and distant vocals reinforce each other. The full project ranges from industrial to orchestral to atmospheric, and though it’s less danceable than your average raver will find comfort in, it’s pretty damn amazing.  You can name your own price via Bandcamp for the full I DON’T LOVE YOU ANYMORE by clicking the purchase link below, and definitely consider the limited edition cassette if you’re looking to support this release, as it’ll probably last longer than your hard drive, and it’s priced to death at $6.66.
