This is a brilliant idea. One place we imagine most DJs like to hit post-club when they’re out of town is the late night diner. Sloppy, greasy, delicious food for great prices at any time of night? We’re getting hungry just thinking about it! We guess it was only matter of time before someone started a late-night diner-themed imprint like Chrissy Murderbot and Alex Burkat have with The Nite Owl Diner, which drops its first release on January 7. This release is a limited to 300 copies and comes in a fucking take-out delivery bag. Contained in it is a bouncy throwback house ditty from Chrissy’s Christ E Pants alias, “Hello?.” He’s huge on that era of house, and the acid-y groove on this one is just too much, especially with the eerie found voices he’s strewn throughout the tune. Flip the record over and you’ve got Burkat’s take on the track, which somehow found a way to turn up the freakiness on the tune. Loads of DJs have already sampled this, so you better make sure you grab a plate before the food’s gone!
