Coco Bryce – “The Lover”

Though his SoundCloud lists his location as Papua New Guinea (insert Future Sound Of London reference here for all of the old heads), Coco Bryce is from the Netherlands… we think.  And though his style could easily be classified simply as “beats,” his production certainly has juke influence and is far from ordinary.  He’s collaborated with Slugabed, and if you dive into his mixtapes, you’re in for a wild ride from someone with an analog mentality that’s obviously still digging through crates.  We are blessed to be able to give a freebie out of the title track from his latest release on MYOR, a wonky and awkward tune based around simplistic drum work and synths that seem to be dragged from an ’80s action movie.  It’s absolutely amazing and available to snag below, and we highly suggest you pop over to MYOR’s Bandcamp to peep or purchase the full release if you’re digging the liberal offering.
