It’s been quite awhile since the last Com Truise sighting. Summer 2012 was his last release and even then, that was essentially a collection of B-sides from his 2011 debut LP. This first peak at his new EP dropping in February of 2014 is something else, though, and feels like it could all be worth the long wait for new material. “Declination,” featuring the slick vocals of Joel Ford, is a glossy new age flip on some classic sounding 1980′s west coast electrofunk (think Roger & Zapp, Egyptian Lover, L.A. Dream Team, etc) that should figure in for immediate heavy rotation on pop heavy EDM satellite radio and YouTube channels. That’s also assuming that all is right with the world. Regardless, this is an exciting direction for Com Truise and one can’t help but be stoked about this upcoming Ghostly release in the new year.
