PREMIERE: Danny Byrd ft. Netsky - "Tonight (RA!N's 'Byrd Gang' Remix)"

The original track that serves for this remix is actually a remix, so it is like a remix of a remix, which I think is cool. I am into recycled art, as you may already know. A bow in the direction of everything that has come before is a forward thinking movement, where an artist stand humbly with one foot forward facing the past.

As Skrillex tells Ron Howard in the Made In America documentary, "an entire song became one guitar string." Well put, and poignantly interpreted in RA!N's remix of Danny Byrd's Netsky-featured "Tonight." He keeps so many funky elements of the original deconstructed, added to, and distorted. A jazzy flute, sultry bass, and a set of clapping and popping drums fill the air in this tune, and the fucking drops literally drip like a steady leaking faucet in the bathroom. It is Chinese water torture for just three counts or so and you're free to groove and shake your hips to the beat as melody swims in the air. He fucks hard with the original vocal track; it speeds up and swims through a calm and steady current in the middle of the sea.

I fucking wish I was floating somewhere as I seep further into the polar vortex that is this winter. For now, all I can do is download this track, listen to this music, and try not to freeze. It takes ferocity to weather winter conditions, and a whole lot of blankets. Wrap this one around you, gather in real close, and raise your body temperature with the movement of this upbeat flickering fire.
