Darker Than Wax Launches Artist Spotlight Series

Darker Than Wax is no doubt one of my favorite collectives/labels of 2014. The Singapore-based outfit has been curating incredible electronic music of all types and all vibes. Their 10K Compilation has been heavy in my rotation and I'm routinely going through their SoundCloud to find what I've missed. DTW is just prolific and they don't miss. To focus their efforts so to speak, DTW is kicking off a new "Artist Spotlight" series.

DEFAULT ARTIST SPOTLIGHT

Darker Than Wax is no doubt one of my favorite collectives/labels of 2014. The Singapore-based outfit has been curating incredible electronic music of all types and all vibes. Their 10K Compilation has been heavy in my rotation and I'm routinely going through their SoundCloud to find what I've missed. DTW is just prolific and they don't miss. To focus their efforts so to speak, DTW is kicking off a new "Artist Spotlight" series. Speaking on the new series, DTW's co-founder and art director (and A&R and DJ) Dean Chew said:

"This journey of discovery is a lifelong one, and we have been blessed lately at the DTW headquarters, to be receiving a good flow of beautiful music from talented cats all over the world. From Cali, to London, to Paris, we’ve got the corners covered. Our featured artists span a variety of genres, representing that essential diversity at Darker Than Wax. While standard formulas are important for an artist’s identity–these guys prove that the only constant is change, and unearthing fresh, new sounds while on the experimental journey. The set of exclusive artworks will showcase a specific set of palette, reflecting shapes, moods and atmospheres – perfectly complimenting the music in each feature. "

Now today we kick it off with a three-tracker from Versailles The Everything. Each track drips with a lounge-ready, martini-sipping smoothness and an exquisite sophistication of trap, indie music, and R&B. It's a heck of a kick-off release, so grab it now.
