With tracks including the likes of "King Kong," "The Incredible Hulk" and "Juggernaut" in his arsenal, now Los Angeles-based bass mayhem-maker David Heartbreak releasing "Armageddon"–a collaboration with DC-area producer Chooky–fits expectations. Had you been in attendance at the DC's Echostage on Saturday night (or checked out Jack U's Diplo and Friends mix), you would've heard Heartbreak's latest, a thrilling sonic buzzsaw that carves it's own unique space in the bass bin. A plaintive, melodic build devolves into controlled insanity as Heartbreak–fresh from the release of his Rose Colored Bass EP on OWSLA–combines with rising tunesmith Chooky for a production that shows Heartbreak growing comfortable in his skills as he aspires for a higher level of stardom.
