One of the more viral rap cuts from 2014 is "Try Me" from Detroit's Dej Loaf. While I was more drawn into the Degeneration X jersey she wore in the video, that hook was way too infectious for me to even try to neglect. It's become an anthem of sorts for me when I wanted to get on some scowling on the train shit, but I've also been wondering when the remixes were going to start flooding in. It looks like Fool's Gold's own Nick Catchdubs is the first to really flip it into something exciting with his Jersey club-drenched take. He adds some of those throwback house sounds in the mix, and while he only kept Dej's hook in the tune, that's really all that's needed, especially when it breaks down to her just saying "body."
