Last week, I looked at a handful of artists that seem to be on the come-up, angling for a stellar 2015. I had to include Ellie Herring, primarily because it feels like, with the natural angst and rejection of the mainstream EDM sound, people are searching for the ill acts on the "underground." Having recently being featured on Secret Songs' first compilation, it was a safe bet that Ellie's name would start to break through even further... so of course she drops a remix of denitia and sene's "side fx.". Ellie finds a way to explore the adventurous side of electronic music while keeping the human element, with warm vocals being wrapped and warped around a grooving beat, with all kinds of beautiful loops skating through. It's a freebie cut that's perfect for rainy Mondays... or quiet Fridays.
