PREMIERE: Destiny's Child - "Say My Name (Callie Reiff & Brother Bear Remix)"

Jersey club has definitely been a popular sound in 2014. The sound has been so popular that it’s been transcending the clubs and warehouses from which it was birthed but into 14-year-old girl’s iPods around the world. Callie Reiff, an already burgeoning tween fashion blogger and model, comes to DAD with her first forays into becoming a recognized DJ and producer.

Taking the oh-so-classic Destiny’s Child track “Say My Name,” Reiff joins up with DJ Brother Bear and spins the R&B smooth number into a jubilant jersey club number with crisp drum tools, a nice bounce and some cool vocal chopping. According to Reiff, she started DJing two years ago at the age of 12 and then "it felt natural to go into producing one year later.” Now at 14, Reiff’s making her DAD debut.

The remix here is different then a lot of the amazing deep house flips and we applaud Reiff’s first efforts and are happy to support her with this one. It’s not going to be a main stage peaker by any means, but as a nice DJ tool and number to slip into a birthday party set or a warmup DJ set? This is on point. The nature of jersey club is ironically, not limited to the club. It’s played at Sweet 16s, barbecues and just about anywhere in Jersey—you can plays this almost anywhere too.
