In an effort to still contribute to the Motor City Dance Party cause when he couldn’t make the event due to illness, badman DJ Ayres took to his home DJ setup and recorded a SICK one take mix representing so many aspects of Detroit’s contribution to the history of music.  What starts with laid back funk and hip hop grooves quickly escalates over the course of 70 minutes eventually into a great section disco, house and techno classics from Moodyman, DJ Rolando, Jeff Mills, DJ Assault, and more.  Ayres has continued to prove over the course of his DJ career that his crates are about as deep as they go and this mix is definitely a testament to that.  You can also still contribute to Motor City Dance Party as the fundraising campaign still has a couple days left as they continue to channel Detroit youth with creative outlets to discover music and dance.
