Here we have a wonderful fluid bass track with magical bells and hearty synths. This comes from Durkin, who has seemingly spent the majority of the past year making "dream" versions of dub and club records. These are incredibly dope, and "Khaled's Lament" stands up well next to the rest of his output. But if you stay connected to pop culture, you will end up in tears.
The vocal for this record is from DJ Khaled's bizarre public proposal to Nicki Minaj on MTV a few days ago (which now appears to be a publicity stunt), and Durkin has turned it into Internet gold. This amazing Boston producer is certainly going to gain a handful of new fans this week, even if just for the troll. Give a listen to the tune though... it actually came out pretty damn amazing.
