During his Essential Mix, Metrik took listeners on a serious drum & bass trek. Part of that journey was this dubplate from one of the dark drum & bass dons, Ed Rush. Ed Rush & Optical are names that most drum & bass fans hold in high regard, and many of the current crop of neuro/tech producers emulate in their current productions. He's a legend, and tracks like this let us know he's still kicking.
Word is this is forthcoming on Piranha Pool Recordings this year; we don't have 100% knowledge on who's behind Piranha Pool, but an Ed Rush mix from the Summer of 2012 reveals a number of his tracks have been linked back to Piranha Pool, and there were rumors that it's a label of his own. Regardless, this tune is firing, and makes us very excited about the future of Ed's material.
