Eric Sharp came to my inbox via our friends at Win Music and for that I am appreciative. “Surrender Dorothy” is the second track from Sharp’s new EP Sharp Cuts, but it could have easily been it’s own release. Combining a twisted mystical disco vibe with modern deep house sensibilities and indie dance-esque vocals, “Surrender Dorothy” is a the right track to ride out summer as we await sweater season. The track is really something special though when you also consider the track’s foreboding, deep thumping basslines and subtle-but-not-too-subtle twanging guitars that conjure up images of the American southwest and Quentin Tarantino’s Kill Bill. Though this is my favorite track on the EP, the whole thing is worth a purchase so do that now!
