We've all heard that "every song from (x producer) sounds the same" argument, right? It's not really a hard argument to understand, considering that most of the mainstream EDM tracks follow some kind of formula, regardless of how "progressive" your favorite genre is. This experiment in the Martin Garrix formula, though? It's kind of insane.

SoundCloud user MȉŞŦяƐŜś Ʒǐ¥ŤĪŧŠ recently uploaded a file entitled "every martin garrix song at once," which features "Animals," "Wizard," "Helicopter," "Tremor," and "Proxy" played from 0, and the results are exactly what you'd expect. Aside from pitching "Tremor" up a bit (along with "some minor edits to song structure"). all of these tracks line up the exact same. Again, it makes sense, assuming you're a producer who knows how the formulas work and can work within that context to get ahead. It's just... wow. We imagine many had figured that this was the case, but there's a difference between trained ears picking up on the similarities and someone spelling it out in big, block letters.

Garrix recently told Billboard that he is "bored of playing ["Animals"] out." He knows that his bookings are because of the success of "Animals," but he's "super excited about the other stuff coming out." What's deep is, if every track falls into the same patterns, why even bother dropping "Animals?" Just get people familiar with the next "Animals," right?

EDIT It looks like MȉŞŦяƐŜś Ʒǐ¥ŤĪŧŠ ended up taking this track down, seemingly over a a conversation he had with an OTB writer, who wrote this article:

I imagine the mashup is out there... somewhere.
