It's storming here in Jersey tonight, and this mix is exactly what I need. For a while, I could throw a rock at my MP3 collection and hit a "classic drum & bass mix," but they were from dope producers on dnb forums. What I needed was a set in that vein (i.e. classic '96-'97 techstep) from someone who was really there in the thick of it. Enter Fierce, who touched down at Rupture's night in London last month with just that sound. Wisely, the set got recorded, and now I can relive some of my favorite bits from one of drum & bass' golden eras. Just the fact that he drops three unreleased Dillinja tunes is enough for me.
