Flume ft. Freddie Gibbs – “Holdin On”

We might need more dance music producers to call on Freddie Gibbs for features. We’re two years removed since Joker called on Gibbs for “The Vision,” and now with Future Classic set to release a deluxe edition of Flume‘s debut album Flume, we get a slick verse from Gibbs on the bright “Holdin On.” Word is this deluxe edition will feature a live DVD, previously-unreleased remixes, and a mixtape featuring guest vocalists (which might be where this Gibbs track resides). This works well as a hip-hop track, as well as a leftfield riddim tune. Maybe more producers will holler at Gibbs for the right price and get his Gary, Indiana flow up in our ears more often.
