I love underdogs, and Geek Boy out of England is definitely one of them. Ever since I first encountered his work about two years ago I have always marveled at the quality of the sound design. What also makes him stand out to me is his great grasp of melody, which is an ability I find lacking in a lot of producers working in the popular electronic dance music genres of our time. I think his talent with melody partly comes from his love of early electronic music, a love which I share and we've sent more than a few faves back and forth. Anyway, I really think people need to pay more attention to this guy, as every track that I've heard him make, even if it's not my cup of tea, I can at least acknowledge that it's of a high quality. Talking to my friend Brent Tactic at DAD, we wondered if it's his name that might not be catchy enough and that's why people have slept on his work.

Writing about a release like this is a bit of a departure for me as on my regular website, Walmer Convenience, I am known to push a more aggressive club oriented sound. This EP is made up of some really finely produced UK garage, deep house and disco house. You should really grab these tracks if you want to play some top quality music that no one else has. People will come look at your laptop screen because of these.
