We’ve been watching intently as Scotland’s Gully stacks a really respectable catalog, and this dude is on the path to greatness if he simply keeps his pace up. We covered a zouk remix of Keys N Krates’ “Dum Dee Dum” last month that he slayed, and in poking around on his production, marveled at the diversity he’s offering on his SoundCloud page. He’s only been uploading tunes for six months, but his trap and twerk records are beyond impressive, and his latest flexes his understanding of yet another genre. “King” is a smooth moombahton banger that holds back on floor stomping sounds, but sampled keys, and a simplistic vocal chop, and the swing back and forth between bounce and moombahton influence gives this one a little rhythm and soul that feels like a forced time-out from the mainstream, and we absolutely love it.
