Truth be told, I've already had this Heroes x Villains Vultures EP on repeat for the past month.  I've already known who's featured on it, where it was slotted to be released, and saw Daniel Disaster drop all of these tunes as I stood right behind him at Avalon in Los Angeles last month. I could have pulled a fuckboi move and threw my own tease on Instagram, because I'm sure I was one of only a half dozen people in attendance that knew what these records even were.  The crowd reaction was mint, and it was one of those personal moments where all I could do was smile.

And whether or not anyone puts their neck out and say it out loud, and whether or not this goes over the heads of the masses, this EP will be one of the most important releases this year out of Atlanta–and the world.  The tempo of trap is about to drastically change, the release is nothing like anything else you've heard, and you should be prepared for Ultra to release a ratchet offering that's sprinkled with features that will fuck your head up.  It's a rap record on a dance label, and if you're paying attention to our movements, this is what we've been pushing since DAD's inception (and for the past decade), and what has been driving us since we were fresh on these Internets 15 years ago.

The first peek at this project just premiered on Complex, features young Philadelphia phenom Lil Uzi Vert and Atlanta's Rome Fortune (again, if you pay attention, we spend our afternoons giving you clues), and is really the most appropriate first we could imagine.  It features dark vibes, heavy drums, and a new swing that nobody has a handle on, and we're already anticipating everyone scrambling to attempt to recreate this movement.  And without sounding like I'm shrugging off an incredible record, this is also probably the weakest offering from an EP that will spiral out of control once people can see the full picture.

Feel free to stream "Made It" below, and hold onto your seat as you wait for the rest of this EP to drop via Ultra on December 2.
