In case you missed the news, James Blake took over tonight’s BBC Radio 1 Residency, dropping two hours of music, either really news and fresh, or so throwback I had cats hitting me on the Twitters like “what’s this jungle music about?” In any case, one tune he premiered was “40455,” a selection of his own that’s as beautiful as it is depressing. Rainy day excellence. Feels like something you’d play on repeat while sitting in your car in a parking lot during a rainy day, trying to figure out why you can’t stop arguing with your significant other. It’s a slower gem, full of pulsating beats and beautiful piano. Were you listening? We hope so.

He also dropped this Harominimixes of Mystikal’s “Pay Me” and Beyonce’s “Drunk In Love.” Love that.
