If you don't bother for two hours of music curated by James Blake, you're playing yourself. His occupancy of the BBC Radio 1 Residency has brought forth some great late-night vibes, especially when it comes to him dropping his own material. For his first show, he hit the world with "40455," and this week he touched down to not only drop his Harmonimix of "m.A.A.d City," but to hit the world with "Roman Patience." This shit right here? Definitely has a weird, off-kilter vibe to it. No vocals, just a track that has a ton of hypnotic flavors to it. It's a mishmash of pianos, some weird horn, DRUMS, and other leftfield vibes. It really gets going halfway into it, but it still ends up feeling like an experiment gone weird... and right. No word on release date or if this is even finished. It's some wild, weird Saturday night lonely vibes though.
