There’s a love/hate thing with December; while you want to make sure you’re properly covering everything that needs to be covered, it’s hard to not look at the music in front of you in a “what has this artist done over the last 12 months” scope. Keeping with that tradition, both Kastle and AC Slater went ham in 2013. Kastle released his album, and signed a number of stellar releases to his Symbols imprint. Likewise, AC Slater has added a number of solid projects to Party Like Us, and has been on a tear as a producer. It’s inevitable that these two would link up, with AC Slater bringing his dirty brand of bass-fueled house music to Kastle’s “Red Light,” taken from the recently-released Remixed project. You can keep your UK-centric bass-driven house; I’ll take AC Slater’s take on the scene any day. Dude’s music just has my number, each and every.
