While Laura Mvula may be a name without significant renown outside of the UK, the soul vocalist's 2013 single "Green Garden" has ended up in the favor of Mad Decent-affiliated beatmaker Djemba Djemba, and the"festival" edit of his remix is fantastic. Somewhere in warping the vocal, accelerating the track's pacing and re-working the production to share an energy (but not necessarily a style) with festival trap, he still retains the essence of Mvula's stirring style to great benefit. Synth bass stabs and epic builds take what is originally a more show tune feeling pop song from fifty years ago into a modern, big-boned bass-bin bruiser. Impressive work from an impressive producer, it's absolutely available for free.
