If you read DAD regularly, Maxx Baer is a name you should know by now. The UK producer wow'd us with his "re-thinks" for Mr. Carmack, Flume & Chet Faker, The xx, and the Bombay Bicycle Club and was also part of the DAD x TrapDoor compilation, U.K. Meets U.S.. Back in March he dropped his Breathe EP, and now he's back in remixed form. The Breathe remix EP features seven new takes on "Breathe," and it's through these various names that we see just how varied the multi-faceted Baer's approach can be.

Each remix is different from the last but each contains that anthemic purple melodics that has made Baer such a force in such a short period of time. Though the whole EP has something for anyone looking for that "purple stuff," personally it's the club sounds of Alexandre's remix or the classic Bristol G-funk-inspired and old school Joker-esque vibes of Bosey's remix or the crying soulfulness of Grimm's take on "Caprisun" that get me.

Maxx Baer and TrapDoor have really put together a dope collection here. Thankfully, there's no cost to this except a few clicks and a bit of bandwidth.
