We’re not sure why Melé decided to give away a pair of tunes today, but we love the hyper Monday vibes he’s provided. The first tune, “Confetti Cannons,” feels like something I wished I’d had last week (and is definitely something that’s been on the lists of eager trainspotters for almost two years). Melé isn’t from America, but tell me how perfect a Fourth of July fireworks display would’ve been with this anthemic bass banger pulsating. Feels something like freedom. The flipside is an edit of Strike’s “U Sure Do,” and finds Melé going into an entirely different realm. We’re talking a slick club-ready vibe, borrowing vibes from the Bmore scene. Loving those bright pianos. Also loving the freeness of this.
