The Chainsmokers never cease to amaze me with their ability to tastefully weld together the worlds of indie, pop, and progressive house. Despite having never released an original song of their own, the NYC-based duo have gained considerable fame over the past few years, at least on the Internets, for consistently churning out polished remixes of hot songs. This latest remix of theirs is textbook feel-good progressive house aimed towards the young, wild, and free generation of dance music fans. Many dance music writers, myself included, spend a good deal of time bitching about this style of progressive house but when the genre is executed as well as it is here by the Chainsmokers, it can be very hard to resist its charms.
