Today's the day we get more of the vision of Dave Nada and Matt Nordstrom's view of what the future of Nadastrom will sound like. Yes, in the past few weeks, there's been considerable scuttlebutt about the duo's direction, but from the newly debuted "Fallen Down," we absolutely hear that a few things regarding Nadastrom will always be certain. No matter the genre (in this case, house), the style will always be heavy, yet funky and always erring on the side of being progressive and oftentimes comfortably weird. Dubby, melodic and melancholic, there's a bouncy feel that keeps this one strongly rooted in the club. Out on June 2 via Friends of Friends/Dubsided, Nadastrom's Fallen Down EP features the lead track getting remixed by Dirtybird's Justin Martin and Dubsided label boss Switch. With B-side "Shelly rounding out the quartet, it's certainly representative of Nadastrom remaining steadfastly iconic by advancing via their own unique standard of excellence.
