It’s been a bit since I’ve heard new Natasha Kmeto; this new cut, “Last Drop,” has me over the moon. As of late, the R&B-drenched electronic sounds are permeating the scene, and having an artist of her caliber, who can churn out some impressive beats and carry a note can go a long way in making someone like Kmeto unique. On this cut “Last Drop,” which is taken from Dropping Gems‘ forthcoming Gem Drops Four compilation, Natasha shows off more of her room-filling atmospheric production. Built on a number of electronic waves, this one turns into a bubbly house cut that keeps you bouncing. There’s a vocal in this, but it’s built more on a looped melody than really hitting you with lyrics. Gem Drops Four will be released on July 29

Word is that Natasha Kmeto has signed to Dave Sitek’s Federal Prism imprint as well; this album, Inevitable, is set to be more vocal-driven. You get the full-fledged Kmeto sound on the album’s title track. Keep it locked.
