While the "Chi-Raq" scene isn't directly associated with Chicago's juke scene, it only makes sense that the rap that's coming from the region will bleed into what the DJs are doing. This week we already had Rashad & Spinn flipping some Yeezus-centric Kanye, and now we see Gant-Man flipping the Lil-Herb-featured Nicki Minaj cut "Chi-Raq," giving it a number of well-placed thumps while keeping the original's gritty, drill'd out vibe intact. Something to rock when you're feeling eerie and like all you need to be rocking is a hoodie. And while this post feels like it's dumb Chicago/Herb-centric, I felt like we need an obligatory Nicki .GIF. You're welcome:
