K1K0 has been quietly busting his ass for the past year and it seems that the hard work is starting to pay off as more and more artists are starting to take notice. His remix of Wuki's "Same Damn Sound" got an honorable mention in Main Course's remix contest and was later included on Jack U's mix on Diplo & Friends. The momentum continues with his latest release, a remix of "Push the Feeling On," which was included in Big Makk's mix on Diplo & Friends on Saturday night and is premiering here on DAD today. Nightcrawlers' original was released in the '90s and has since been sampled by the likes of Pitbull, but K1K0's remix is different in the sense that it brings a modern flare while incorporating booming 808s to bring that Miami booty bass. He creates a very sensual yet danceable vibe that respectfully pays homage to the Nightcrawlers by incorporating classic and timeless samples from the original tune. Upon listening it's clear to see why artists have K1K0 on their radar, and all it does is leave me wondering what is next for this up and comer.
