As a sucker for gritty house music that bangs in a soulful way, I really don't get enough of it in my inbox. But when you get an email from a PR rep who always brings some heat and doesn't flood you daily with content, it was hard for me to not take notice of Lupe Fuentes. Sure, she's a girl and any one could easily play up that angle. To me, it's the co-signs from people like Junior Sanchez, Todd Terry, and Claptone that made me shut up and listen. Seriously though, this girl seems to get it and it doesn't take a lot of listens to grasp that. Offered up as a sweet teaser here is her bootleg of the huge "Pushing On" from Oliver $ and Jimi Jules. This playfully deep original cut gets that rolling grimey type of rub that turned this tune into a seductive club banger that's got me on a ton of repeat plays already. i.e. it's really tight.
