Paper Diamond & Christian Rich ft. Angela McCluskey – “XIX”

What do you get when you take Angela McCluskey of Telepopmusik, Christian Rich (most notable for their production on Earl Sweatshirt’s “Chum”), and mix them together with Paper Diamond? A harmonic and innovative tune unlike anything else out. This keeps punchy synths and wide bass over a floaty vocal. Somehow this experiment in sound worked.

I feel as if Paper Diamond is gearing up for a power move. His album comes out on April 16, and if this single is any indication of the full project, it’s going to be a game changer. He also released “They Can’t Tell Me Nothing” a couple weeks ago, which is a bouncier record that shows his roots in dubstep while pulling in trap drumwork.

Paper Diamond has been on a giant tour with Excision since the beginning of January. This wraps up in a few weeks. We’re really curious to see what he comes up with as he has a bit more free time to sit down and work on new records. But this album, and the past few tracks he’s released have been massive.
