When drum & bass was truly exploding, it was always refreshing to have a producer like Paradox in the scene, keeping things in line both with his beats and his views. At a time when the sound of Pendulum and other big name dnb acts was king, Paradox stayed true to the break-heavy “drumfunk” that he had been championing for his entire career.
Paradox hasn’t changed much, but we don’t need change from him. We prefer his dirty side, the crispy breaks, and “Core Jungle” manages to capture both. Instantly headnodding, we could probably listen to just the drums and that crowd noise for seven minutes, but he makes sure to add some of his signature, rumbling low-end. This one builds into a raw, unadulterated beast, and it can be yours to own on turquoise vinyl (no digital release) via Paradox Music. The single drops on June 3, but pre-orders kick off on May 24 – we imagine this one will sell out fast, so get your orders in early.
