Early mornings call for a bit of the reggae, you know? Although you know how DAD turns up, and we couldn’t hold onto this Phat Deuce tune any longer. Putting his own stamp on Alborosie’s “Black Woman,” Stockholm’s Phat Deuce applies a necessary trap vibe to it, transforming this track into a proper club beast. You have to love the way it teases you, dipping back into the original at a moments notice before dipping into that syrupy-thick 808 monstrosity. This track has been getting love from guys like DJ Craze and David Heartbreak, who personally dropped this one off to DAD HQ. It pays to check out heavyweight riddims from guys you’re not completely up on (although we’re hoping you remember his Jeffree’s release, “Bubble Di Sistem”). Perfect tune to rule your summer.
