That UK bass music scene is becoming such a great melting pot of sound. Take Last Japan, for example. He describes his sound as being “2 step garage, infused with grime, funky & dubstep.” That’s a lot of ground (and tempos to cross), but his Darsk EP handles each style with relative ease. He links up with Merky ACE for a low-key grime slapper, while exploring more UK funky and garage tempos. It’s available for pre-order now, and will be out on July 14, but for the time being give the EP a listen in full.
