Proper Villains has been making murderous tunes for years.  His dubstep remix of Dev’s “Dancing In The Dark” was that one record that I heard out every time I left my house in 2011, and rightfully so.  It combined all of those elements that make a hit song.  Wonderful melody, a hint of popular culture, an incredible mixdown,  and a free download.  And though people probably know him more for his dubstep than anything, Proper Villains is making club, twerk, house, moombahton, garage, hip-hop, and trap that’s as good as his more popular dubstep tunes.  This package is more about celebrating influence than anything else, though.

He made a few edits combining EDM records and rap vocals and released it as a fun freebie called “Proper Edits”.  The collaboration between Carvar & Clock and UFO! was matched with Busta Rhymes vocals.  XVII’s “Kaiju” has been flipped into a remix of the classic Dem Franchize Boyz hit “Lean Wit It, Rock Wit It.”  And Cratesz‘ remix of Yellow Claw & The Opposites “Thunder” now dons the hook from Rick Ross‘ “Hustlin”.  It’s a trio of party tunes that are fun for the broad audience and great for a DJ’s digital crates.  You can stream below and snag by clicking the “Buy” link, which will redirect you to Proper Villains’ Facebook page for free download.
