Redlight ft. Raekwon – “Get Money”

Back in November, Redlight and Raekwon shared a picture of the two of them hitting the studio. We were super excited to hear what the tune was, or to get at least an idea of what in the actual fuck they were doing together, and today we get a teaser of “Get Money,” the Raekwon-featured track that’s taken from Redlight’s forthcoming 36 EP, which is due out on March 10 via Polydor. While there’s less than a minute of audio here, we can tell that this one will be battering speaker systems, even though it’s essentially Redlight knocking out a trap beat (for now). While some mans are hoping this one will be turning into something a bit bigger (and zanier), you can’t really go wrong with Raekwon flipping the “C.R.E.A.M.” chorus on this one.

EDIT Redlight has posted a full preview of “Get Money,” and this one doesn’t get zany at all. Stays pretty sane in the booming trap sound, for good or ill.

“While some mans are hoping this one will be turning into something a bit bigger (and zanier) . . .”

Including this one. The world has 670% of the trap it needs, please don’t tell me Redlight has bought in on it, too.

Agreed, he’s capable of so much more. Funny enough, the actual theme of the song clearly states his mentality in this new endeavor
