A decade and change ago, Renegade Hardware was one of the premiere imprints in the dnb scene. They’ve helped usher in a number of talents, from Loxy & Ink to the Usual Suspects, Future Cut, and many others. For their next EP, Reanimation, they’re allowing some of the best of the current scene to rework bonafide Hardware classics like “Killa Bees” by Usual Suspects and “Whiplash” by Future Cut, with artists like InsideInfo, Verb, Maztek, and Optiv & BTK getting the honors or reworking these tunes. We wanted to share the InsideInfo remix of “Killa Bees,” which was possibly the best new artist to add his flavor to this seminal tune, and Verb’s remix of Future Cut’s “Whiplash,” which you should have heard in Dieselboy’s “Beyond the Black Bassline” mix. You can cop this EP on July 15.
