RiFF RAFF popped through Los Angeles last week, and worked a bit with Derrick “DJA” Allen, who has been signed to and riding out for Mad Decent since its inception. We aren’t sure if this is the only record that they worked on for this trip, or even how long this studio session was for, but we’re told that DJA has quite a few production credits on RiFF RAFF’s forthcoming album, NEON iCON. RiFF RAFF collaborations with Muy Loco Sin Medio, OJ Da Juiceman, and DJ Mustard have all popped up in the past month. It’s reported that a single is coming out with Lil Wayne, and we saw pictures of RiFF RAFF with Flux Pavilion, Houston legend OG Ron C of Swishahouse, and Paul Wall that’s attached to allegations that there’s a record with all of these legends (and Slim Thug, who wasn’t in the picture). “U Know Who I Am” is a thumping trap record that's a little leftfield, even for these two powerhouses, but it goes incredibly hard. Ride out.
