If you loved electro house a few years ago but you’re getting bored of all the copycat big room anthems, you might need to check out some trance. No longer just the drawn out, pounding rhythms, trance has been revived by an electro house infusion. All the biggest names like W&W, Gareth Emery, and Armin Van Buuren have caught flack for injecting the abrasive electro basslines into their productions, but at the end of the day, it’s what is keeping trance alive on a big scale. One new name to check out is Rob Naylor.
At only 16-years-old, it’d be easy to write off Rob Naylor as another over-blown “prodigy,” but we’re definitely paying attention at DAD. His new release “Yes” is a hard-hitting dirty trance track with a fast tempo sure to power you through those late night lulls. The track has been released by Emery’s Garuda Music and was included on THE SOUND OF GARUDA: CHAPTER 3. Speaking on the inclusion, the Montreál producer said, “For someone who has always been a huge fan of Garuda, it was really special to be a part of The Sound of Garuda,” says Rob. “I had listened to the two prior installments almost 50 times! It really was quite an honor.”
