What do Tiësto, Swedish House Mafia, Hardwell, Fedde Le Grand, Calvin Harris, Alesso, and Porter Robinson all have in common? They’re big supporters of the SICK INDIVIDUALS. That’s right, the SICK INDIVIDUALS might not be playing any big festivals stateside yet, but it’s truly only a matter of time. With releases on Big Beat/Atlantic, Virgin, Spinnin’, Armada, Interscope, EMI and SIZE, we’re really just waiting for them to pop and join the upper echelon of DJs listed above.

This week, the duo premiered their latest original, “Free,” an uplifting progressive house track fit for the main stage this festival season. A subtle electro underside complemented by big room chords, the track isn’t on the level of the biggest anthems, but it doesn’t have any vocals either. While vocals are certainly never a requirement, in particular cases like this, we can’t help but wonder what a vocal mix might turn out like. Perhaps this track will fit into sets as the basis for some sick vocal mashups. For now though the track is still very strong on it’s own, and it will slide nicely into those peak time sets. Grab “Free” when it drops March 11 on Beatport via Big & Dirty Records.
