Last month, Skream unleashed a serious studio mix a few days before Christmas. He tends to drop so many unreleased/unheard tunes, it takes a bit for these tracks to get proper identification, and this Aaliyah rework was one many was waiting for. That's right, Skream's put his own spin on Aaliyah's classic "If Your Girl Only Knew," bringing that mid-'90s flavor to a more modern house lover. The best part is that this is the exact direction the scene seems to be going into, with guys like Disclosure and T.Williams occupying that space properly.
Although we hope this doesn't mean a bunch of 1997 r&b tracks are about to get the remix treatment...
