I think it’s time to really just say it: Toronto has one of the strongest EDM scenes in North America and the world. Whether it’s electronic music auteur deadmau5, hip-hop infused dubstep/bass technicians Zeds Dead, moombah-flavored act Torro Torro, and now big room duo Dzeko and Torres, Toronto knows how to deliver the punch. Making their debut at the Ultra Music Festival this past turn, Dzeko and Torres popped up all over Miami playing at pool parties and clubs all week long, and it’s no wonder when you start to hear their tunes.
Their latest is a remix of Steve Aoki’s Wonderland single, “Ooh.” Turning the tune into a dancefloor destroyer, Dzeko & Torres deliver a bouncy yet serious flavor with their version. The tune is a continuation of the sound they’ve been developing with their previous releases like “Togi,” “Amp,” and “Any Day,”and we’ll be sure to follow the duo from here on out. At the very least, expect them to be back in Miami next year and on a much bigger stage.
