With each release he's made in the past six month's New York City's Banginclude has moved closer to truly being on a top-tier level of respect in global underground bass music. He's done so with a striking consistency to his sound and style, never erring far away from the organic roots of Afro-Latino riddims upon which his success has been forged. With today's release of the Barulho EP for organic bass label of the moment Enchufada, he officially arrives as a name of true respect and renown. Cosigned by the likes of Basement Jaxx, Buraka Som Sistema, DJ Yoda, JSTJR, Dengue Dengue Dengue, and more, zouk bass being taken in the direction of similarly slowed Brazilian rasterinha provides a more voluptuous and across-the-board populist sound for the two-track EP. "Fradonia" is trap gone to Rio, tough and hard, but still leaving enough room for the lower end to wiggle, while "Pablo and Andrea" feels more organic, a big booty swinger playing at a basement party in carnival season.
